Top 11 iPhone Pro Apps In 2022

Top iPhone Pro Apps 2022

What is an iPhone or  smartphone  without  apps? But also, which apps are  really good for this new iPhone?

Once you've downloaded your social apps, your favorite games, and some productivity apps, what else should you be installing on your brand new iPhone?

This is the first iPhone app's article I make, it's more like a refresh and follow-up from previous articles. I've been looking for the most useful apps out there and testing a few of these and I hope you find one or two of them useful. These are not exclusive to the new iPhone and some will work really well across the Apple ecosystem too.

1. Press Record

Press Record And the perfect example of this multi-device experience is Just Press Record. It's such a simple app, but extremely powerful.

It is an app for many different usages, but for me is for taking notes. How is this different from the voice recording app? Well, it transcribes it into text and it's easy to export that text than to other apps. It integrates with Apple Watch really nicely.

Plenty of times I am out and about when suddenly an idea pops up. Rather than stopping what you're doing, just press record. Carry on with your walk, with your run, with your drive. Then go back into the app to listen or read the recordings and organize them, move them into your note-taking app like Evernote, Notion, etc.

2. Forest

Forest, I love this little app for how simple yet how very efficient it is. Doing focused work or studying, will encourage you to remove any distractions and reward you by making your trees grow.

The more you do, the more trees you unlock and before you know it you will have a beautiful forest. I use this a lot when I want to focus on writing my scripting or recording my videos, super useful.

 3. Maekersuite

It's not news right, that video has become a really powerful way of getting your message across, be it in the education space, marketing, or building your personal brand. But if like me, you are not a natural in front of the camera... Then this app will really help you. It lets you add your script but here's the thing with scripts, sometimes they make you sound like a robot. So Maekersuite solves that by letting you record in blocks.

So you can have natural pauses and convey your message, convey your ideas in a nice and structured way. As you get more comfortable in front of the camera, the blocks can get bigger as you won't need to pause as much. And something I found recently with YouTube is that the script is great but the more confident you get the less word by word you need. You start to get by with just bullet points and that will help you sound even more natural as you're not reading everything verbatim.

But that will come with time and experience. So the blocks and the way each block is recorded separately will really help you with the editing as well. Basically, there is only a little bit of trimming that you need to do for each recording because you only keep the takes that you like as you are recording. It's really neat.

The app has these really useful guides too and templates to get you started. I was talking to Makersuite and they really liked the idea of having creators put their own templates up there so we could have a Tech review template by Alex Gear & Tech. But you can see here, they already have lots of templates ready to go and you can see how easy it is to follow their guides to create those script blocks. So you can imagine that people could create these templates for any type of video, taking that stress out of the creation process and letting you get on with the important bits.

Vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram reels, LinkedIn, YouTube, whatever social media platform you want your content in, this app will help you record in that format. They are still growing and the app is not available everywhere yet and they are continuing to add more features.

When you are recording your video, the text appears on the screen very close to the lens as well which is super important. Looking at the lens will help you build that strong connection with your audience and will help you come across nice and confident as well, without those awkward pauses where you are trying to remember your talking points.

4. Telegram

Telegram The next app in today's video is Telegram. I love how fun it is to use and if you're not happy about the Terms and conditions of WhatsApp and their encryption levels, or you never know when Facebook servers might be down again! Telegram is still quite strong in encryption - I am always skeptical with these things but they do seem to be a bit more secure - They're growing in popularity and it is just quite fun to use really.

 5. Microsoft Math Solver

There are other apps that do the same thing but I quite like how straightforward this one is. And it's free! If you are a student or a parent helping out with homework, this app is a must. Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, this thing can solve pretty much any problem you throw at it. Really quite handy. Obviously don't use it for cheating, this is more to maybe...validate your work. And practice areas that need attention, they have tutorials built-in so great for that!

 6. Duolingo

This app is great for learning new languages. You can go at your pace of course but it's really fun to use. As part of my son's weekly tasks, he has to practice on this app for a number of hours a week. And it really works, it's not just an app that you listen to, some of the exercises make you speak into the phone for the correct pronunciation.

7. 1Password

One of the most frustrating things in our lives is having to remember passwords. And I know you can just create easier passwords right? Wrong! The bad guys are out there, constantly trying to break into our digital lives.

So to protect your identity, your banking your emails there are a number of things that will really help. Firstly, enable two-factor authentication for all the things that you care about. And two factor is great but it's a right pain when you don't remember your password and you have to reset it. Now you are being asked by a robot to confirm that you are not a robot, click on the tiles that show a traffic light. It's a nightmare! By the time you managed to reset your password, you forgot why you needed it in the first place.

1Password is awesome and will synch across your devices and browsers so you can now set really complex passwords, and never have to remember them. I have a family plan actually so we share a vault in the family which made a lot more sense, so if you have a few family members that would benefit from this the family plan will work out best for you.

 8. Carrot weather

Carrot weather This is Carrot weather. It's not just a weather app! This one comes with a... bit of an attitude, shall we say. My YouTube buddy loves this app too, so that's at least one more nutter out there that I know likes this. It's really fun! You can set its personality for different levels of aggressiveness and it goes with the Apple watch too.

Some of it is not safe for kids so be careful how you set her personality up. I was delivering a bit of bad news once at work and I crossed my arms which accidentally opened the weather app and she blurted out some abuse at the worst possible time. So yeah, just be careful.

9. Top Clock

This is Top Clock, a very useful little app that lets you have a floating c.. clock, whether it's a timer, a countdown, or an interval. It's really useful. A little bit like Forest, you can set it to focus for 25 minutes, aka the "Pomodoro technique" to encourage you to work with the time you have. Just battery This one is Just battery, a neat little widget that has a much better way of visualizing your battery usage.

You can make it very personalized and since Apple is not giving us that at a glance percentage at the top, this can be a nicer visualization, rather than just the circles that Apple gives us.

 10. Doubletake

This is probably one of my favorites for video recording. It is beyond me why Apple didn't enable this by default but hey, it's only a couple of dollars, and it's well worth it.

In my S21 Ultra, I get something called Director's view which is a really nice feature, that allows you to record from multiple cameras. Doubletake allows you to do just that, extremely useful to add a different perspective to your videos.

 11. Frame grabber

If you are trying to capture a frame from a video you took, there really isn't an easy and native way of doing this. You can screenshot it but the quality will be horrible so if you recorded a 4K video, you might want to preserve that level of quality when you export your frame. With Frame grabber, you can do just that. I will be reviewing the iPhone 13 Pro Max fully very soon and have already write an other article about it.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
